had my holiday in kedah, aimst university interaction btw pharmacy students..
wow..many leng lui and leng chai there..
not bad..many new frens..they r sporting..
next station was.. ipoh, jia yin's hometown
she was my only tour guide..
brought me to all the caves..'damn hot there..ipoh', the city of mountains
introduced me to few of her frens..
happy to know them..
had my 1st ever experience of clear water rafting & high rope challenge
RM200..really worth it!
testosterone overshoot(ps, gal also have bit of testosterone)..the only brave girl..
unexpectedly, jia yin was so afraid of the high rope challenge despite of her tough' and brave look..
until ppl ask..ei, gal frm east m'sia are all brave??*LOL*
had almost all the famous food of ipoh
beef noodle, curry mee(waited for 30 minutes), seafood noodle, taufu fah, wantan mee, pan' min(handmade noodle), egg tart, dan2(dessert made by eggs..nice!!), tong sui(dessert), ''duck's leg'' dim sum(breakfast that makes me broke!!), hor fun(sort of kueh tiaw but smaller in size), lai fun('big-size mee hoon'), yong tau fu, nga choi gai(steamed chicken served with bean sprouts), gunung rapat's roasted duck, ipoh's famous white coffee at old town..yum2..
back puchong, after few days in ipoh..

shocked...

It's been 4 days since i had 'landed' at auntie's house once again. Glad & relieved to see auntie is recovering..from ICU, HDU(high dependency unit), normal ward..then back to home.. it was so scary fews week back..seeing her suffering from heart problem(Congestive heart failure) and breathing difficulty. Her situation is exactly what i learnt last semester. her heart beats so fast, 200 beats per minute..just imagine..that's where the blood stays in the heart due to palpitation. which leads to pulmonary edema(fluid accumulates in her lungs) which made her having heavy chest and difficulty in breathing. she said she eventually notice her heart beats all the time during quiet nights in ICU.
am scared, shocked...

The end of the beginning

Cardiovascular system and therapy quiz was over finally...
it's just an end of the beginning..
7 more papers to go..70% final exams for 6 papers, pharmaceutical marketing 40%
still, i'm so relax despite of many more to revise
listen to musics..watch little bit of series..forward and rewind..
hoping that i'll addicted to it.. (once addicted, it's hard to quit..)*LOL*
hope i will get 3.00 and above for this semester..
i really need to work hard and push myself to wake up early in the morning to mug..
the problem is everytime i wake up early(7am) in the morning, i ended up on my bed again cos' i feel so tired waking up that early..i'm not used to it maybe..
i'm running out of time.."help!!!"

I finally know and feel the tiredness...

It's not easy to study and the same time involved in other activities..
really admire those who are active yet can get good results..
i'm adapting that kind of life now..
and i think it'll be very2 useful in the future!!!

Interesting cosmetic laboratory workout..
we were assigned to make rouge, or the most common term.. blush
available in 3 dosage forms, liquid, cream, and dry solid form
ppl would mostly prefer the dry one..
not that messy compared to the other 2
we were asked to prepare cream and dry powder type
4 in a group instead of 5..
the guys(ZK, KY) chose to do the powder..*thought that would be easy*
poor guy..leave the tough job for the girls..
lol..SL and me did for the cream type..
mixing powder seems to be an easy task but it's not..*haha*
they complaint of tired after a while of trituration*lol*
making cream, however, is easy but challenging
to make a nice and stable cream, it requires good techniques
mixing the oily and the aqueous phase at almost at the right temperature,
gentle mixing for bonding*haha*
applying the physical pharmacy's knowledge..
cocoa butter, melt at temp less than 60C
i made the coloured cream and SL did for the colourless base...
then, we mix em' for 5 different colour...
sounds interesting right??
mix the colour u like..
as Dr Yvonne said: "for this course, you got to be creative"

What a boring and short weekend..
Back then, our weekend starts on Friday. So, we have 3 days off for schools. I miss that so much. It’s restless to have only short weekend to spend. Perhaps I’m used to it before and now I should start adapting the new schedule for this semester. Yesterday spent my precious weekend, almost 9 hours( 9am-5.30pm) on the crazy drug stability report. Planned to go night market with NS but my heart was like sank to the bottom of the ocean when I saw it’s raining outside. However, the rain is not heavy. *I prayed the rain to stop at 6pm* finally the rain stopped (yeay...can go out already) text NS:
We go at 6pm k? there’s no raining anymore hoh? Still on?
Ya..so boring, we go at 5.45pm la..
Went out for dinner at the ‘pasar malam’..the very mini pasar malam if compared to KL one..haha..I guess it’s even smaller than the one in MIRI.. we ordered handmade ramen(sounds delicious right?)..we are DAMN(learned from Dr. Azmi *LOL*) hungry.. We waited so long for it cos’ there’re many customers usually on Friday..all are USMers. Watched TV programmes while waiting for our food. The tv shows on foods makes our mouth watery. So, we enjoyed to relieve the emptiness of our stomach(wang mei zhi ke)..haha.. finally, our food was served. I was a little disappointed seeing the ramen was actually INSTANT noddles.. it’s even worst that it taste like the typical Maggi mee(even maggi mee is nicer)..duh..
As usual, I bought GREEN apples..this time it’s bigger one. RM 5 for 10 pcs..
Bought tofu flower* for dessert.. (not nice at all-poor texture(too sandy))
Today is another hectic day..
Notes yet to be read and reports yet to be finished despite there’re others awaiting..
so, gotta clear some notes today..

It has been 3 weeks since our school reopen..
everything starts to pile up..
stacks of notes yet to be read..
busy with the newsletter project..
not bad, I'm the assistant director..assisting the 'perfectionist'-Joe..haha
start to put myself into others' shoes in another way round
learn many things from there..
like YM said, 'bad may not be bad'..haha
i dun deny that i'm still playful..
i spend lots of time in unnecessary things..
soon..gonna manage my time...
if not, I'll be drowning again..
like mama always say: 'No one can help you except yourself!!'

This year is the report year for 3rd year pharmacy student..
There're at least 2 laboratory works per week..
I'm going crazy for doing the Dosage Form design lab report..
It took me whole day for drawing all those graphs and calculation excluding the discussions and results..(23 pages for just a simple lab report..just imagine...*fainted*)
yet it's all done by pc.. i couldn't imagine if typed report is not allowed.
yea..i dun deny that reports help us understand more about the subject..
To be honest, i dun like writing reports despite it's just step by step assignment.
Only like those practical work out..
By all means, we have to accept it and learn to love it..

Went back Penang at 9pm..
Travel from south to north of EA by bus..(cheap airasia..dun wan to let u all earn too much..haha)
Anyway, there're more benefits traveling by bus..
-no need to wake up early in the morning(5am) to rush to airport for check in (airasia's check-in counter will be closed 45 minutes before depature...pissed off!!!)
-help Jia save fuel and toll fees..the LCCT is damn far from Puchong
-no need to worry about luggage overweight which will be charged
-no luggage fees required
-can enjoy the scenery around..not just a bird's eye view from the above

rush back to parking basement for my luggage..
wtf''..the parking 'cashier' was out dunno where..
Jia then get her car parked again..decided to walk there..
after taking out our things..the guy appear..
ARR...so, u jump up to our car and go there by car again
it was 9.58am when we went out from the car park..
i was so nervous that i will miss the bus..
Me: looking around, see whether the bus has departed..
JIA: Relax..it wouldn't depart so soon de..i know de...
Me: hehe..
Without hesitation, Jia stopped her car under the flyover
carried all my things..to platform 19..it was already 9.01am..
woooo...i felt a great relieve seeing the bus is still there..
Jia left after i entered the bus...
fortunately, she didn't get any summon..
In conclusion..avoid flight and Bus should be your choice...lol


Arrived safely at hostel at about 2.30pm..
quickly go see whether i got a different room..
OMG...i got the same room..
i asked for room exchange as i dun want to sleep with rats..
have to closed all the window at night to prevent their entry..HATE IT!!
We are short of O2!!!!
They don't allow me to change my room..asking me to come again on wednesday..

Oh God..i shouldn't have discard the cheap 'X-contact' contact lens..
it was not very comfortable wearing that..
i wore for one month!!!damn..
lesson: pls go eye check frequently..and never use any contact without prescription!!!

A day in brunei...

*excited* i'm going to brunei again...
It has been about 10 years since i dun' visit Brunei(my mum's country)
No money to renew passport..what to do?? haha
Back then, we used to visit my cousins during school holidays..
went to Jerudong Park, the only huge and fun theme park in Brunei, yet it's F.O.C
how good is Brunei...

BUT, right after the 'Fight' due to corruption(i think so) between the King and Queen,
it's not F.O.C anymore..
although there is ticketing, it is not the fav' place anymore..
It's not very safety to play cos there's no maintenance of the facilities...

visited auntie and uncle's house..
to me.. Brunei is still the same compared to previous years
there're still trees and forest along the highway...
it takes hours from a place to another...
the only thing that i find interesting is the name of places there..
mumong, sengkurong, etc.. all sounds funny to me..

Last Day At Work

it is my last day at work...
a little bit sad..huhu~
though i'm not paid for my attachment..
it's worth it because i brush up on my knowledge in dispensing
Compared to before (1st year attachment) i was too green towards those drugs
this time i can recognized a lot of drugs of different groups..
from NSAIDs(diclofenac sodium, mefenamic acid, Celebrex, Mobic,etc), Diabetic(Metformin, Gastric(Cimetidine,Ranitidine,Histac, Zantac,Omeprazole, etc), Cough med(Dextrometrophan, Dynadryl, etc), Travel sickness(dimenhydrinate, etc), Blood Pressure med-Atenolol(Tenormin), Cholesterol med(Lipitor, Zocor, etc), Flu med(actifact, pseudoephidrine, etc), etc

Happy at work?

It has been 2 weeks since i started my attachment at XXX pharmacy. Although i'm not paid for that, it's worth to just get back at least some informations about drugs. The dosing, most importantly as it's not fully emphasized in out studies. Not only that, relationship with collegues and effective communication is another most important element.
EFFECTIVE Communication is very very very important in pharmacy practice.
Perseverence is another most crucial element..
as you will face with different type of customers
sometimes you just feel like want to punch them in their face..huhu
got so MAD with some customers..
there is, but i think it's only 5% of them are polite and good listeners
Pharmacist is always the one to be blamed.. in hospitals especially..
i'm going to face the unknown reality in 2 years time..

pls la..antibiotic only indicated for serious infection like inflammation of throat, cough with green colour phlegm(indicates Staphylococcus infection..if i'm not mistaken), and others..

pls dun use antibiotic for mild symptoms and diseases..

it'll soon become uneffective if used widely with wrong conditions..

if you are taking antibiotics, just any antibiotic, pls PLS, i beg you all..just finish 'em, FINISH THE WHOLE COURSE or else it's not going to work for the next infection(scientifically term--bacterial resistance towards antibiotic)..
